DRAWING 2

I completely forgot what this drawing was about.
But I do love something meaningless, useless and purposeless.

I AM DRUNK.

A&F EXHIBITION 2

ART & FASHION at Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, Germany.

Another artwork I liked in this exhibition.

Childhood Storage (Film) by Anna-Nicole Ziesche

She is an artist who creates garments for making films. She uses fashion as visual objects for her films and perfomances.

Here's her interview, I really admire her perspective on herself and works. About what she tried to be and tried to do on her work so far, and how she think of herself at the present.

More works I was impressed there.

Microgeography (Installation) by Hussein Charayan

FREDDIE ROBINS

Freddie Robins is a textile artist who have a great influence on me.
I researched about her when I was on a foundation course at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. She is the first person who made me think that textiles are not only for fashion nor interior fabrics, but also for art. Then I really got into the world of textiles.

This time I had a chance to see her knitted work (pink one) at the joint exhibition in Germany.
It was very amazing as a whole. There are wonderful selections of art works by famous artists and designers such as Victor & Rolf, Martin Margiela, Hussein Charayan, Rei Kawakubo and more.

DRAWING 1

Hi, I'm back in Japan a week ago from Turkey.

I'm gonna post some drawings from my journey.

I'm thinking I could do something on them, like adding colours or collage with photoshop.

Do you think it would be better or do you like them without edit?

Still have lots of things to post about my journey, such as drawings, photos and exhibition reviews...
Need to catch up with the present!

I am really relaxed at home these days, maybe too much.
Well I mean, there are no worries for money, food, time, place to sleep and plans for tomorrows now. Which I used to be worried during my journey.
Now I feel I became less energetic and just a lazy person.
ummmm.

CHILD'S TRAIN

This is one of my geeky interests, TRAIN.
Gyermekvasut is a child's railway in Budapest.
I didn't know about this at all, but someone in the hostel recommended me to go.

IT WAS AWESOME.
The funny thing is the night before I go to see this child's train, I happend to watch a Ghibli's film, "Ponyo on a cliff by the sea".
In a part of Ponyo's story, a boy, Sosuke and a girl, Ponyo went on a journey by a toy boat which was enlarged by Ponyo's magic.
I felt like being on a journey as they do in the film.
I was on the child's train which has the same colour combination
with their toy boat, and hungarian kids actually operate the train like Sosuke does.
I strongly wished I was born in Hungary and I could join them.

DON'T WORRY BE CURRY

The funniest museum ever.
The cultural icon in Berlin, "Curry Wurst".
(Chopped sauseges with ketchup and curry powder)

I liked this humorous description of cutting sauseges.
Which says like, "Cut sausages verticaly in approximately 22.37mm. Quickly and mechanically."
I couldn't stop laughing.

There's a lot of things I want to post on this blog, but just cannot be bothered for now...
Good night.

○○○

The museum I went today, Hamberger Bahnhof - Museum of Contemporary Art in Berlin, which is a former train station.
The exhibition was "Berlin Circle" by Richard Long.

I liked this huge mud circle which the artist created by hands on site, using mud from the river Avon from his home town Bristol .

A circle, a line: they look good, they are abstract, they are common knowledge.
They belong to everyone and equally to the past, the present and the future.

Richard Long,1982

Here's a video about this exhibition. I cannot understand German, but still interesting to know visually how the exhibition was made.

BEER PYRAMID

This is the most striking exhibithion I went today.
"The Recovery of Discovery" by Cyprien Gallard at KW institute for contemporary art.

I like the idea of work from his discription, the function which involves german people (They love beers!), and how they alter the original work itself.
Even though I couldn't actually participate in this installation as I cannot drink beer, but I guess the admission fee €4 is a great deal for All-You-Can-Drink party!

The order of chao.

Good night.

MEAT SO CHEAP

I've left London and arrived in Berlin yesterday.
My journey's just started.

I was very surprised that any meats are sold at reasonable price here. Love it.

Have a nice weekend everyone!
